Byron De La Beckwith Jr. (November 9, 1920 – January 21, 2001) was an American racial oppressor and Klansman from Greenwood, Mississippi, who killed the social liberties pioneer Medgar Evers on June 12, 1963.
Two preliminaries in 1964 on that charge, with every white jury, brought about hung juries.
In 1994, he was attempted by the state in another preliminary dependent on new proof, indicted for the homicide, and condemned to life in jail.
He was married to Thelma Lindsay Neff.
